China National Technical Imp. & Exp. Corporation was established in September 1952. In 1998, it became a wholly-owned subsidiary of a state-owned key enterprise China General Technology (Group) Holdings Co., Ltd. as one of its founding members. In 2022, it became a member of Genertec International Holding Co., Ltd. Headquartered in Beijing, CNTIC has 9 domestic subsidiaries and 23 institutions in 20 countries and regions, including Southeast Asia, South Asia, Central Asia, North Africa, West Africa, Europe and Hong Kong, China.

In various stages of China's development, CNTIC has been acting not only as the mainstay for the import of key technologies and equipments, but also an important service provider in the export of complete equipment, international project contracting and project management. With its business covering 105 countries and regions worldwide, CNTIC has completed more than 7,500 projects with a total value of over $120 billion.
