China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “China Huaneng”) is a key state-owned enterprise established with the approval of the State Council in 1985. As a pioneer in China’s power industry, China Huaneng emerged and has expanded amid China’s reform and opening-up process, continuously leading advancements in the power generation sector, and has embarked on a new journey to build itself into a world-class enterprise in the new era.  

The Company has a registered capital of RMB 34.9 billion, with its main businesses covering: development, investment, construction, operation, and management of power sources; production and sales of electricity (and heat); development, investment, construction, production, and sales of industries and products related to finance, coal, transportation, new energy, and environmental protection; industrial investment and management.  

Currently, China Huaneng owns 57 secondary subsidiaries, over 480 tertiary enterprises, and 5 listed companies (namely, Huaneng Power International Inc., Inner Mongolia Mengdian Huaneng Thermal Power Corp., Xinneng Taishan, Huaneng Lancang River Hydropower Inc., and Great Wall Securities), with a total workforce of 123,000 people.
