Founded by Mr. John SUN in Chongqing, China in September 2004, Chongqing ACME Tech. Co., Ltd. (ACME) has been focusing on R&D, production and sales of acetylenic diols series of water-based coating additives.
ACME offers a broad product range and strong technical support for coatings, inks and adhesive applications. Our portfolio includes high-performance surfactants, defoamers and other additives. We deliver improvements to key functionalities such as substrate wetting, foam control and pigment dispersion.
ACME's wetting additives provide multifunctional benefits in a range of applications including pressure-sensitive adhesives, inks and coatings. Our additives enable the elimination of surface defects and reduce surface tension. ACME's substrate wetting agents are also ideal for the wetting of difficult substrates, such as paper, plastic and metal. Key benefits include superior wetting and low dynamic surface tension, which enable high-speed application and mechanical stability.
ACME's defoamers for waterborne coatings and emulsion polymer manufacturing are industry-proven solutions that reduce air entrapment and the formation of bubbles in a wide range of applications.
At ACME, we enable manufacturers to convert solvent-borne systems to waterborne formulations that meet demanding industry regulations. We offer a growing line of APE-free (alkylphenol ethoxylates), low-VOC or VOC-free (Volatile Organic Compounds) products that meet the most challenging sustainability and performance requirements facing the industry today.
All coating additives are developed based on acetylenic diols, which are produced by our own factory, Chongqing Surfadol New Material Co., Ltd. (Surfadol factory). Having passed ISO9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications, Surfadol factory can produce maximum 2,500 tons Tetramethyl decynediol and Tetramethyl dodecynediol per year. All products are sold in more than 50 countries and regions around the world under the unified brand name SURFADOL®.
